Aamir Khan, Kiran announce divorce

Mumbai: Actor Aamir Khan and movie producer Kiran Rao today reported their separation following 15 years of marriage.

In a joint explanation, the couple said that they will co-parent their child, Azad Rao Khan, just as proceed with their expert association on Paani Foundation and 'different tasks that (they) feel enthusiastic about'.

"In these 15 excellent years together we have shared a long period of encounters, happiness and giggling, and our relationship has just filled in trust, regard and love. Presently we might want to start another part in our lives – no longer as a couple, yet as co-guardians and family for one another," they said.

The couple added: "We started an arranged division some time back, and presently feel good to formalize this game plan, of living independently yet sharing our lives the manner in which a more distant family does.
